My Community Sims series involves using community-created Sims (via polling on this blog) as my primary Sims in the Sims 4. The community-creation makes the Sims more interesting for me to play, and provides a bit of engagement for the reader. At the end of each post, there is a poll where you can help shape the story of that Sim. In addition, special requests left in the comments will definitely be considered!
Marina Harper is a young writer who just moved to Willow Creek where she doesn’t know a single soul. She’s a cheerful optimist, though, and is excited to meet new people and experience new things.
She bought a small one bedroom home near a river. The yard is big- plenty of room to plant things!
Marina hates being inside for very long, so she had hardly moved in before she was out exploring her local environment.
Her home is next to a walking path that gets a surprising amount of traffic. Marina met a young man named Zest while she outside gardening. Zest was outgoing and very funny.
Zest became one of her first friends in Willow Creek.
They would hang out in her yard, at the picnic table, for hours just chatting.
Marina got a job writing blog posts, she has also authored a children’s book. In her spare time, she has been gardening, and collecting local plant species.
She’s adopted a pet frog who sits on her desk and watches her play computer games.
Sometimes, she goes out jogging.
One day, Zest came over and he was in a foul mood. He was ranting and raving about something.
Being a cheerful person, Marina did not respond well to this side of Zest. I’m not sure what he said exactly, but she didn’t like it. It made her angry!
After he left, she kicked over her trash can! (But immediately picked it back up.)
To calm herself down, she continued taking care of her plants.
Marina tried out her hand fishing one day. She caught something, and proceeded to make some delicious fish tacos.
This is Aaron, whom she is just starting to get to know. Aaron is outgoing like Zest, but he shares Marina’s passion for the outdoors. He is also a bit of a geek, but Marina seems to dig that.
Marina found a penpal online from a far off place called “Twin Brook”. Her penpal sent her a postcard.
Marina has no problem finding single guys (though she hasn’t pursued a relationship yet).
She played some chess with a guy named Titus who was older and a bit of a perfectionist.
She ran into Aaron again, he was going for a run in the park.
Look at them all lining up…must be her unusual skintone.
